James 2- 2 Peter 1

"What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such a faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, 'Go, I wish you warm and well fed', but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead."

James 2:14-17, NIV

I have to confess, if any passage within the Scriptures makes me nervous, it's this one! How many times have I seen someone in need when I was in a position to help, and did nothing? How many times have I expressed a faith in God and Christ, but had no actions to back it up?

Someone once asked the question, "If faith were a crime, would there be enough evidence to convict you?"

Such questions make me want to do better! How about you?

"But someone will say, 'You have faith; I have deeds.' Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do. You believe that there is one God? Good! Even the demons believe that - and shudder."

James 2:18-19, NIV

Today is the 27th day of the Thirty Day Bible Challenge. The readings are James 2-5; I Peter 1-5, and II Peter 1.  If you have made it this far, why not "dare" someone you love to take the challenge? They will be glad you suggested it!
